Union City CAREavan – Safe Overnight Parking Program

CAREavan is a special project organized by the Union City, Kid’s Zone, local community and faith based organizations in an effort to provide families and/or individuals who have been displaced and are temporarily homeless, living in their vehicles, and need a safe place to park overnight.
All of the participating facilities and locations will be providing open restrooms throughout the night.  The City of Union City Community and Recreation Services Department will be providing an attendant to be present throughout the night at all locations.
Some facilities and locations will be providing

  • Showers and toiletries
  • Open pantry (clothing and food)
  • Dinner service/breakfast/snacks
  • Free Wi-Fi/computer use
  • Laundry Service

You MUST fill out an enrollment form at either Union City Kid’s Zone Resource Center or with the Program Coordinator, Jesus Garcia or Sergio Abundis with the Youth and Family Services,
