Kaleidoscope is an after-school program based in Dublin, California, open to children and young adults ages 5 to 22. The program offers specific programming for children, teens and young adults with disabilities working to integrate into the community. Kaleidoscope is open to individuals with a wide range of abilities and is not limited to those with an autism diagnosis.
In addition to providing engaging after-school care, Kaleidoscope offers families respite from the 24-hour demands of caring for a loved one with special needs.
Kaleidoscope currently has three groups operating on a daily basis: the Youth Group, the Teen Group and the Community Integration Group. Within these groups, the participants engage in activities, games and community outings in a safe, caring and accepting environment while parents, guardians or home providers are able to work, run errands, attend meetings and appointments or spend time with their other children.
