CityServe is honored to be one of eight recipients of the Pleasanton Weekly Holiday Fund, in good company with Axis Community Health, Hope Hospice, Open Heart Kitchen, Pleasanton Partnerships in Education (PPIE), Sunflower Hill, Tri-Valley REACH and Valley Humane Society.
For the past 20 years, Pleasanton Weekly has held an annual fundraiser to benefit Tri-Valley nonprofit organizations and the vital work they do in the community. This year, the Weekly is partnering with a new local foundation, Three Valleys Community Foundation (3VCF).
This annual giving campaign gives visibility to the hard but critical work Tri-Valley nonprofits do year round. At a time when many families are struggling with the aftermath of the pandemic, nonprofits are more relied on than ever before. The Holiday Fund highlights these essential resources in our region and how every person can support their work.
“For the 20th year, we are asking our readers to turn their thoughts to those in need,” said Gina Channell Wilcox, publisher of the Pleasanton Weekly and president of Embarcadero Media’s East Bay Division. “The ongoing pandemic and the economic impact it created, coupled with inflation, have left many residents seeking assistance from local nonprofits. We hope our Holiday Fund will offer a financial boost to the organizations at a time when the need is paramount.”
CityServe is grateful to be named among this year’s Holiday Fund recipients. “Every penny makes a difference and, with our concentrated effort focused on the Tri-Valley, donors can feel really good about making an impact right here, right now in their own backyard,” said Christine Beitsch-Bahmani, CEO of CityServe.
