Bay Area Community Services, (BACS) is a not-for-profit organization providing innovative, effective, strengths-based services to young adults, adults, older adults and their families. Since 1953, BACS have served people in the Bay Area. BACS mission is to uplift under-served individuals and their families by doing whatever it takes.
Programs and Support provided in the following areas: Benefits, Housing, Education, Psychiatry, Employment, Independence, Physical Health,Wellness and Recovery, Consumer-Driven Groups and Developing Community Support. BACS receives funding from Alameda County Behavioral Health Care Services, other agencies and individual donors. Five locations in Alameda, Fremont, Hayward, Oakland and Pleasanton and are open 5 days per week, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM.

Housing Education & Counseling
Classes that cover everything you need to know about finding and keeping housing; classes include how to fill out applications, how to adjust to permanent housing, good relationships with landlords, and more. There is also individual housing counseling available.
